Is there anything more awesome than knitting your own coat? Mire offers you a great base pattern to adapt to the desired length and style!

Mire is a long cardigan/coat, cozy and warm for the chilliest of days! The coat has a fair amount of ease so that it can be worn as an outer layer on top of other knits, but it’s still not too oversized. The sample is knit in calf-length, but modifying the length is easy as the buttonbands are worked simultaneously.

Mire has a top-down European shoulder construction and roomy sleeves that are decreased rapidly for the cuffs. The coat has a slight A-line shape and an open bottom, although you can continue working the buttonholes all the way down.

The cardigan is meant to be worn with positive ease. Choose a size with approx. 9” / 22 cm ease at the bust circumference.
