In the Vosges fir forest, you can see trees standing so straight, so close together …they must grow so high in order to catch the sunlight, so they have only big branches at their top… I tried to adapt this new design from this photo I took there…
I hope you’ll enjoy these hats, a little gift for my children… and for you too !
For the light grey one:
Yarn: Snaeldan 3 ply, natural shades, light grey, new pure wool, 1 skein 100g/260m: 55g/143m needed.
Circ needles 3,5 & 4mm.
1 marker. ( or 1BOR & 8 others).
1 tapestry needle.

Hat circ=46 cm & height hat=20 cm

(Adult size only, rather a small size here for the light grey one, you can adapt a larger one using needles 3.5 & 4.5mm for the dark grey one (2-3 cm circ larger). This yarn blooms and softens considerably after washing).
Worked in round from the border to the top, just with cables 2 and 3 stitches.
Chart and written pattern.
