Details
I love to design pieces with adaptive or universal design features. I started designing when my mother got diagnosed with ALS. I always wanted to make pieces that she would love to wear…but also that would have worked for her as she lost mobility and dexterity in her hands. I think that’s why I gravitate to cowls so much. They are easy to wear. Just slip them on and go! No fussing, just easy and stylish.

The Miss Patty Cowl is designed as a companion piece to the Babette Cowl…named after my favorite TV duo. They are both brilliant on their own, but a knockout combo when they are together. The Miss Patty Cowl is a triangle cowl, worked from the long edge to the short edge and then seamed to make the circular shape. I did the seaming a little different than some other triangle cowls, I like having a thinner strip at the back of my neck to decrease bulk. This cowl is designed to sit lower on your neck. Button it up under a jacket for a cute but warm addition to your fall or winter wardrobe. If you’re looking for more neck coverage, grab the Babette Cowl! Worn together they create a warm and stylish option that completely customizable.

I often get super nervous with a new design if I’m using more expensive yarn. So this pattern is crocheted continually until the end. Zero cutting your precious yarn until you’re absolutely sure you like the final piece! Feel free to pull out that precious skein you were saving, there’s no pressure here!
