Mixed Media art was always one of my favorite projects in art class. I loved using whatever we had at our disposal to create unique, one of a kind piece of art. The title of my pattern is a play on mixed media. The different stitch combinations give me a sense of satisfaction like mixed media art pieces do. Even though I used a single yarn type and color for this project, it doesn’t mean you have to. Mix it up!

I’ve included two different ways the pattern is set up: row by row, and a checklist section by section set up I loved when I first put this together. The checklist section corresponds to the stitch descriptions on the last page. Currently there is no chart for this pattern.

This is a one size fits most pattern. The yarn weight can cause the size to vary somewhat. The cover photo shows how different two yarns with the same yarn weight knit up differently.

I used 3 skeins for my cowls, but I also did an additional pattern repeat at the recipients’ requests.
