This elongated boomerang scarf has simple eyelet edges - inspired by fond childhood memories of broderie anglaise party dresses - and can be worn in lots of ways. It also looks clever and elegant, but is extremely easy to make.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED boomerang shaped scarves – knitted on the bias with curved edges - MK#17 drapes beautifully and is quick to knit because it uses needles larger than is usual for the yarn.

The sample scarf was made from a 100g skein of Bombed Yarns Sock 4ply (80% Australian Merino and 20% Nylon) in the colour Orange and Lemon Ice Pole. It contained 375 metres / 410 yards and the completed scarf measures 66 cm / 26½ inches, by 158 cm / 62 inches, by 214 cm / 85 inches after blocking.

Materials
Between 365 metres / 400 yards and 385 metres / 421 yards of Fingering/Sock/4 ply yarn
Please note that some yarns knit up more closely than others and if knitted with yarn at the lower end of the quantity range it may require blocking to achieve a practical length and to emphasise the eyelet pattern
