This maddy laine cardigan pattern has been labeled as an “intermediate” project just because there is some stitchwork that you must keep an eye on when shaping, but otherwise it is fairly straightforward knitting. In fact, the slip stitch pattern is quite simple with a crossed-stitch effect achieved without a cable needle in sight. Garter-stitch borders tidy all the edges.

The front bands are knit along with the fronts of the garment and feature a simple one-row buttonhole.

The shoulders are drop and the side vents are deep, adding to the casual look of this cardigan.

Finished Bust Measurements
37¾ (40¼, 43, 45½, 48¼)“/96 (102.5, 109.5, 116, 122.5)cm

The knitting pattern, written in both US and metric measurements, includes a schematic drawing.
