This pattern was inspired by the Granny Square Shawl and the Modified Granny Spike Chevron blanket. It can be used with any yarn as long as you use an appropriately sized hook. For the illustrations, I used a 6.0mm hook and worsted weight yarn. I recommend at least 3 colors to get the maximum effect of the spike stitch color change.
