«Moments» mittens and fingerless mitts
#moments_mm, worked in the round, beginning with a cuff. The thumb gusset is made using a “Life Line” method, which is an increase line, that arcs from the bottom center of the palm, up and around that fleshy mound, to the point between the index finger and thumb. The mittens are easy to knit, and that pattern with bobbles will keep you interested to the very end.

This pattern shows all the calculations, so that you will be able to knit mittens out of any yarns, regardless of the yarn weight

Yarn:** Malabrigo Rios 192/100 gr, 100% merino, you will need 50 gr for fingerless mitts, and 70 gr for mitterns (100-150 m total).

Needles: circular needles 3.25 mm, 4 mm, length 80 cm.

Notions: hook 3-3,5 mm, 3 markers, double-pointed needles 3,25 mm, 4 mm, stitch holder, tapestry needle.

Gauge: 22.5 sts х 30 rows measures 10 х 10 cm in St-st,
28 sts х 30 rows measures 10 х 10 cm over pattern (Chart 1), worked with larger needles, after blocking.

Techniques: basic knitting skills (incl. K2tog, ssk, M1L, M1R), knitting in the round, using Magic loop method, reading Charts and written out instructions.

Construction: mitts are worked in rnd, from cuff to top. First, you work the cuff, then mark sts for a thumb, and increase from the palm center until you have enough sts for the palm. At this point you separate thumb sts and palm sts, and work both separately to end.
