The Moonlight Cardigan can be knitted both as a wrap cardigan and as an open cardigan.
It is worked from the top down in rows. First, sts are picked up for the shoulders and the neck. The shoulder section is then shaped with raglan increases, while at the same time the v-neck is formed by increases at the beginning and end of the rows. The increases for the neckline are continued until the end. After that, the sleeves are worked in rounds and shaped with continuous decreases. The finishing edges as well as the ties are formed by i-cords.

The cardigan has a figure-hugging fit and ends approximately at the height of your waist.
If you are unsure regarding the right size for you, then please choose one size smaller.

Gauge:
10x10 cm = 26 sts x 37 rows in stockinette stitch knitted with needle size 3.5 mm (measured after washing and in unblocked condition)
Because the knitted fabric is very airy and stretchy, the gauge can easily „distort“.
The 26 sts were measured in unblocked condition. In a slightly blocked condition, 10 cm correspond to approx. 25 sts.

Der Moonlight Cardigan kann sowohl als Wrap zum Wickeln als auch als offener Cardigan gestrickt werden.

Er wird von oben nach unten in Reihen gearbeitet. Zuerst werden Maschen für die Schultern und den Nacken aufgenommen. Mit Raglan-Zunahmen wird dann die Schulterpartie geformt, während zeitgleich der V-Ausschnitt durch Zunahmen am Anfang und Ende der Reihen gebildet wird. Die Zunahmen für den Ausschnitt werden bis zum Schluss fortgeführt. Danach werden die Ärmel in Runden gearbeitet und mit kontinuierlichen Abnahmen geformt.

Die Abschlusskanten sowie die Bänder werden durch I-Cords gebildet.

Maschenprobe:
10x10 cm = 26M x 37R in glatt rechts mit Nadelstärke 3,5mm gestrickt (nach dem Waschen und im nicht gespannten Zustand gemessen)
Dadurch dass der Strickstoff sehr luftig und dehnbar ist, lässt sich die Maschenprobe leicht „verziehen“.
Die 26M wurden im nicht gespannten Zustand gemessen. Im leicht gespannten Zustand entsprechen 10cm ca. 25M.
