The Moonsun Sweater is a simply constructed pullover with an intarsia landscape pattern on both the front and back. Any colors can be used to create the abstract images, with the goal being to use opposite colors on each side. Knit in worsted/aran weight, the Moonsun Sweater is light but very cozy.

Because the shapes are very simple, this is a great beginner-friendly pattern for anyone who is interested in learning intarsia. You have the option to create the sun and moon with intarsia or duplicate stitch embroidery at the end.

Be sure to read the notes section in its entirety before getting started as there are some helpful tips and tricks mentioned. I also recommend going through the pattern and highlighting the numbers corresponding to your size so you don’t get any stitch counts mixed up.

Suggested yarn is ‘The Petite Wool’ by We Are Knitters, but I highly recommend using any yarn you have stashed or that is more affordable. You will need about 1 - 1.5 skeins for colors A&D and 2 - 3 skeins for colors B&C. This sweater is designed to be flexible in terms of fit and color. The yarn suggestion is not meant to be a strict guideline.
