I’m not one to create stories for the amigurumis I design. I like that each amigurumi has its own story each time it is crocheted by different hands, a story that will be unique among millions (dreaming doesn’t cost that much) of Morgans, a story that will only belong to them and their new owners/companions.

What I can tell you is that, every time I design an amigurumi, I make them with the idea that they will be special, that they can have (and can withstand) millions of adventures, and that they will be loved to infinity.

I hope you can find their special meaning for this amigurumi that I design with so much love.

LEVEL: Beginner - knowledge of basic amigurumi stitches (including magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, half double crochet/half treble crochet, double crochet/treble crochet). I will explain you with pictures how to assemble all the pieces, how to do the details on this amigurumi in detail, so you can have fun without stressing out about how to do it.

You will also learn to make 2 scarves and a “paper” crown for your amigurumi. A cowl / neck style scarf where I will show you a super cute and easy to make stitch that is very delicate, and that you can use to make a thousand other things. And a loooong scarf with a little trick that makes it look like it was knitted.

PDF (printable): 18 pages with very detailed instructions and 76 images to provide visual help for the process.

{On my site www.onpoki.com you can find the section “Techniques” where I explain a little more the techniques I use in the pattern}

The file contains a conversion chart of US / UK Crochet Terms (I’m not using symbols this time!!!). I’m using US crochet terms in this pattern.

Everything - Morgan, and the scarves were made with a ARAN weight yarn (AKA medium / 4 / 10 ply / worsted / afghan).
But I used different crochet hooks to make them. For Morgan I used a 3.00 mm (US D/3 - UK-CAN 11) crochet hook. For the cowl I used a 5.00 mm (US I/9 - UK-CAN 6) crochet hook and for the long scarf, a 5.50 mm (US J/10 - UK-CAN 5) crochet hook.
To make the paper crown I used cotton DK weight yarn (AKA double knitting / light / 3 / light worsted / 8 ply) with a 3.00 mm crochet hook.

With the materials I used Morgan ended up being 26 cm high (with the ears) and 15 cm wide.

You can use any weight of yarn to make your amigurumi, provided you choose an appropriate hook size for that yarn weight, the only thing that will change is the final size. Just make sure there are no holes in between the stitches. This usually happens when an incorrect crochet hook is used.

Quantity of yarn (approx):
Morgan: 90 grams
Tail (I make it in white): 4 grams
Embroidered details (nose - ears): Almost nothing
Cowl: 16 grams
Long scarf: 20 grams
Paper crown: 9 grams

I used 10 mm safety eyes.
