It’s the time of year when you want to pop on a cosy pair of socks first thing in the morning. You can make these with a soft, light fingering or a warmer yarn for the chill ahead.

Although this pattern is written for double pins, cuff-down, you can work it on circular needles, and toe-up.

The pattern has an 8 stitch repeat. I wrote it for 72 sts, but you can go up or down according to your needs.

They’re worked on 2.25 mm/US 1 needles. Choose the size that works with the yarn you’ll use. Although I used a fingering weight yarn, this pattern would be fine in sport weight.

Yarn used
I used Bergère de France Calinou in Limonade for the main color, and several other shades as contrast colors. Calinou is a soft, light fingering yarn that’s a great choice for warm weather socks. For the heels and toes I used Drops Nord, to make them stronger.
