This is a very straightforward pattern, designed for crocheters with only a little experience. It is also great fun for experienced crocheters, as it is a very relaxing project that you can make as big or as small as you fancy. It creates a really sturdy blanket, with a texture that makes it feel more woven than crocheted. The stitch used is called Houndstooth check traditionally and is very similar to the more modern crochet linen stitch.

The amount of different colours you use is for you to decide. The blanket in the picture used 15 different colours.

The finished size of the blanket I created in the pattern is 175cm x 150cm and fit as a large single bed blanket or a small double bed blanket. If wish to create a blanket of a different size then the instructions are included in the pattern.
