This pattern has been technically edited and tested.
Inspired by Morse code, this top-down polo features slipped stitches that form subtle dots, dashes, and stripes. Choose one main colour and two contrast colours to create your own unique combination. With options for short or long sleeves, you can create a version that suits your style and the seasons.
CONSTRUCTION
Morse Polo is worked seamlessly from the top down. The yoke is worked with raglan increases and German short rows to shape the neckline. When the base of the button band is reached, the button bands are worked in double knitting and joined. The yoke is then worked in the round and continued with raglan increases to the underarm. At the underarm, sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked in the round to the desired length. Sleeves are worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline and worked flat to complete the collar.
DOWNLOAD
An optional sleeve tracker for the long sleeve version (Long_Sleeve_Tracker.pdf) is included as an additional PDF download to help track decrease rounds.
