This pattern has been technically edited and tested.

The cropped top is knitted top down, starting from the back neck and working flat with increases until enough stitches are added for the body width. The back is then continued until the underarm. Stitches are picked up along the edges of the increased rows to knit each front, with additional increases to shape the front neck. Once both fronts reach the desired width, they are joined with cast-on stitches for the front neck and worked down to the underarm. At this point, the front and back are joined and work in the round until the hem. Finally, the neckband and armhole bands are worked by picking up stitches around the neck and armhole edges.

SIZE GUIDE

To pick the correct size, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust. The suggested ease is 20 to 35 cm / 7¾ to 13¾”. Sample shown in size 1 with 23 cm / 9” positive ease.

Please note that the finished measurements can only be achieved if the tee is knitted in the correct gauge.

YARN

Lana Grossa Cotton Wool - Linea Pura (53% virgin wool, 47% cotton; 195 m / 213 yards per 50g)
Sport weight yarn (shown in “Cream”)
4 (5, 6)(8, 9, 10) balls

OR Sport weight yarn with approximately
765 (915, 1145)(1375, 1565, 1830) metres
835 (1000, 1250)(1505, 1710, 2000) yards

Alternative Yarn Used in Sample
The second sample was knit using Sandnes Garn Sunday by PetiteKnit (fingering weight, shown in “Statement Green”) and blocked to gauge.
Although stitch and row gauge matched, the finished tee measured slightly smaller overall, due to the difference in yarn structure and fabric drape.
If substituting with fingering weight yarn, be sure to swatch carefully and adjust needle size as needed to match gauge
