The colorful designs of these cozys are easy to work and provide a fun way to explore mosaic knitting. They’re perfect for holding gift cards, cash, or trinkets!

Written instructions are provided for both the gingham and floral designs. With just one active yarn color per round, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can whip up several cozys.

They cozys are worked upwards in the round on DPNS or circular needles using the Magic Loop technique from a Judy’s Magic cast on. The holder’s fold down facing encloses opposing twisted cord drawstring ties (easy instructions to make the ties are included).

Suggested yarn is Knit Picks’ Cotlin DK.

Gingham design: Color selection of the yarns is key: in addition to white or off-white, select two colors of the same tone but different values. In the featured sample, the Cotlin yarns combination used was:

  • Lilac, Whisper, and Swan

Other colorways I have used are:

  • Harbor, Clarity, and Swan
  • Black or Ash, Silver, and Swan
  • Nightfall, Raindrop, and Swan

Floral Design This design works best with two contrasting colors. In the featured sample, the Cotlin yarns combination used was:

  • Nightfall and Whisper

Requires #3, 24” or longer circular needle for Magic Loop work or 3 DPNS.
