What can you expect weekly?

Every Sunday by 8amPST I will send out a pattern update through Ravelry. This pattern update will include the next few rows of the chart, as well as some moth facts. Sometimes the facts will be about the moths on the cowl, and sometimes they won’t be.

At the end of the MKAL you will receive a final update with a labeled schematic of the cowl labeling each moth species, and the appropriate information on each moth preceding the pattern.

This pattern has been tech edited and sample knit.

What are some optional activities?

Join the discord! I will send out a new invite link with the Ravelry announcement weekly until the final release of the pattern. Every Sunday starting the 20th we will be hosting a book club reading Bugs in the System by May Berenbaum…and we may have some mystery speakers on the line as well.

Well…I caved to demands and here is a moth cowl. This cowl is a mystery knit along that will be in progress until August 24th, which is when the final pattern will be published. If you purchase this pattern it will be released as updates over email once weekly, and these emails will include renewed invitations to join my discord so that latecomers can still be added to the channel.

This cowl is knit in the round bottom up, and features a half twisted rib edge. The main body of the cowl is a stranded knit. The chart is repeating and fairly beginner friendly, provided you are confident with stranded colorwork.
