The Celtic knot, in all of its many variations, is a series of knots that are overlapped or interwoven, with no definitive beginning or end. The Celtic knot of motherhood is featured on this mosaic pillow. The knot depicts a parent and child embrace, the two hearts intertwined. The reverse side can be customized with a heart for each child.

This pattern incorporates mosaic knitting, a colorwork method that uses only one color per row. The colorwork pattern is created by slipping select stitches of the MC on CC rows as charted.
