Cozy, comfy, quick & an ode to the magical country roads.

The original Mountain Mama socks are the most loved socks I have ever made. I remember dreaming them up in April of 2020, and just having this feeling in my gut that they would be special.

And they were. A lot of people love them. AND a lot of people discovered long floats are tricky. The original Mountain Mama socks have some long floats, and I knew that I wanted to make a simpler and cozier DK weight version of these socks.

Enter Mountain Mama DK! I used Stress Knits’ DK in two of my most favorite colors: Dahlia and Dried Lavender. Yarn support was provided for this project (thank you Stacy!). Knit up on larger needles, and thicker yarn, these socks will be done sooner than you know.

MATERIALS:
Needle: 3.25 mm • US size 3

MC: Dahlia • 130-200 yds (118-182m) / 60-90g
CC: Dried Lavender • 32-65 yds (30-59 m) / 15-30g
