This pattern is for the plane, the mouse, its goggles, hat, scarf, jacket and parachute!

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. The pattern has been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK yarn for the majority of my project (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished plane measures approximately 35.5cm long and 15cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn to make both your plane and the mouse & the accessories to ensure that they will fit.

For the mouse you will need the following colours:

Main mouse colour - I used pale grey (approx. 23.5m).

Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m).

For the plane & accessories you will need the following colours:
Plane colour- I used red (approx. 254m).

Seat / Posts colour - I used dark grey (approx. 94m).

Wheels colour - I used black (approx. 18m).

Propeller colour - I used light grey (approx. 14.5m).

Stars Colour - I used yellow (approx. 9m).

Jacket / Goggles colour - I used dark brown (approx. 16.5m).

Hat colour - I used beige (approx. 8m).

Scarf & Parachute colour - I used cream (approx. 44m).

Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

A pair of 6mm black safety eyes.

Some toy stuffing.

Some finer black yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face.

‘7 count’ plastic canvas. I had a 26cm x 33cm sheet (that’s 10.25 x 13.5 inches) & I used less than 1 sheet. A higher count (that’s the number of holes per inch) will mean the plastic is more bendy so stick to 7 count if possible.

A 20mm plastic toy joint. This is optional but can be used if you would like the propeller to turn. Alternatively, this can be omitted and the propeller can be sewn into place.

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
Thank you.
