These Mulberry Cream socks provide everything you’re looking for in a sock! The ribbed eyelet pattern offers just the right utilitarian stretch and hold but is also feminine and pretty. The stitch pattern repeat is easy to remember but not boring. And since it’s a simple stitch design, it works well with a lot of the colorful indie-dyed sock yarns on the market. Pattern directions are written for a top down construction with a traditional heel flap and gusset but everything about this design translates well to your favorite sock construction techniques—whether it is toe-up, an afterthought heel, or an alternate heel flap. The Sweet Sparrow yarn in the “Siren Song” colorway reminded me of bowl of creamed berries, and the eyelets in particular reminded me of the texture of the skin of the mulberries that grow on my farm.

Pattern includes sises: S (M, L) to fit 8” (9”, 10”) circumference at the ball of foot. Pattern is written with 1” of negative ease for snug fit.
