Overview
The Mundane Monday Socks are worked from cuff to toe. First a folded edge is worked in stockinette stitch. After this, the stitch count is adjusted and the leg is knitted in a textured repeat pattern. The heel is shaped in German short rows. Ray decreases are worked to shape the toe.

The left and right sock are worked identically. The pattern can be worked either with double pointed needles or using the magic loop method.

Yarn
The socks require a 100g skein or 2 x 50g of fingering weight sock yarn. A wool yarn with 20-25% nylon/polyamide is recommended for durability.

The blue sample socks are knitted with Filcolana Arwetta Classic (808 Aqua Mist Mix) and the yellow with Drops Design Fabel (111 - Mustard Yellow).

This minimalistic patterns is also well suited for multicoloured or hand dyed yarns.
