There is something mesmerizing and magical about a murmuration of birds. Single wings beat individually yet together the fluid movement of the flock creates concentrated points as well as less dense areas giving rise to both texture and color. The movement typically forms curves and arcs which move in unison. My goal in this triangular shawl design is to translate the flight pattern and flow of a murmuration of birds from the dense core to the sparser fringes of a flock in motion.
