The Muskoka Beanie

PDF PATTERN DOWNLOAD: The Muskoka Beanie knitting pattern creates a chunky double brimmed knit beanie with a braided cable pattern on the body of the hat. This pattern includes instructions are included for toddler, child, and teen/adult sizing, and also has instructions for making a “work sock” colour design.

YARN: double-stranded worsted weight (4) yarn. For the pattern, I used Lion Brand Wool Ease. This pattern also works well with bulky (5) yarn, single stranded, however, the pattern was not tested with bulky yarn.

Suggested Substitutions: Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca, Heartland, Pound of Love, I Love This Yarn, Red Heart Super Saver (4). Lion Brand Hue + Me (5).

  • 8.00 mm (US 11) 16” circular knitting needles
  • Cable needle
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker
  • Faux fur pom pom (optional)

SIZES: Instructions are included for toddler, child, and teen/adult sizing as well as instructions for completing a “Work Sock” design.
