Snowballs, starry nights, and skis….all the winter fun in the lacy parts with some contrasting solid sections to come home to…this cowl knits up quickly and its generous size is super cozy for those chilly days.

It is knit bottom-up in the round, with consistent decrease rows throughout the cowl to give it a slight A-line shape. The pattern intentionally uses two different weights of yarns (knit on the same size needles) so that the lace sections are lacier and lighter, although you could substitute two different colors of worsted weight yarn without changing needle size.

Materials:
• 1 skein aran-weight yarn (100 g, +/- 200 yds) for Main Color (MC) and 1 skein DK-weight yarn (58 g, +/- 180 yds) for Contrast Color (CC). Note: these yarns are different weights intentionally, you could easily substitute all worsted weight for both colors.
• US 9 (5.5mm) 16”-24” circular needles
• Cable needle
• Removable stitch markers (at least 8, and others as desired)
• Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Gauge: Gauge is not really important (and is hard to measure on this project) but is approximately 16 st & 24 rows = 4” on US 9 (5.5mm) needles in stockinette stitch
