Another of the Handmaidens to Titania; Mustardseed joins her fellow shawls in this, The Handmaidens’ Collection, available as an individual download or as part of The Handmaidens - Dream Collection, an on-going collection that will consist of four patterns, three individual and one exclusive to the collection, representing a large saving. This collection is part of the Dream Collection Trio - Three Collections all inspired by Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Mustardseed is a wide, crescent shaped shawl with texture, lace and beading, knit in one piece from the top centre with increases at the edges only. The sister shawl to Thistledown, this too has a wonderfully addictive garter ridge pattern on the body with a deep border that provides a pretty, delicate edge and textural interest all ending with a very simple yet effective edging - picot free and garter stitch, does it get any easier?

The wonderful versatility of this shawl makes it possible to knit in almost any weight of yarn (though yardage and needle requirements will vary as this has been written for Fyberspates Faery Wings). It is simple enough for beginners to lace knitting and yet interesting enough for those with more experience.

Mustardseed is available both as an individual pattern and as part of The Handmaidens - Dream Collection.

The pattern is both written and fully charted with bead placement indicated throughout.
