My Ballet Shoes is worked in single-colour rows using the overlay mosaic crochet technique, and is finished off with a simple envelope border to hide the loose ends.

There are no special stitches, and no mid-row colour changes, making the pattern perfect for beginners to the technique.

Finished throw using DK yarn is approx. 105cm x 150cm (this measurement does not include a border).

The exact finished size will be dependent on hook size, yarn used and tension of crocheter. The length can be adjusted by adding or deleting sections, if required.


The pattern is 193 stitches wide and 243 rows high.

Most of my patterns are interchangeable as I like to keep my stitch count to 193, this way you can create multiple blankets using elements from the different pattern in my ravelry store.
