PATTERN LEVEL: BEGINNER (must know how to knit in-the-round using double pointed needles or circular needles with the magic loop technique)

These super simple pumpkins are the perfect first stuffed project for beginner knitters! You only need to know how to knit, purl and work in-the-round using circular needles or double-pointed needles.

For this project you’ll need:

Suggested materials:

  • 4.5 mm circular needles or double-pointed needles with medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) in two colours for the pumpkin and for the stem
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors
  • Stuffing fibre
  • Tapestry needle or darning needle
  • Doll needle (optional to make it easier to cross through the middle of the pumpkins)

Yarn information:

For this project, I used:
* Medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic from Yarnspirations in the colour Pumpkin

Sizes:

I got finished pieces measuring approximately 8~9 cm, 10~11 cm and 12~13 cm. Please keep in mind that the actual size of your finished item may change depending on your yarn tension, how much you stuff them and the materials used.
