This large squishy triangular shaped shawl makes the perfect first shawl project. It is a simple garter stitch design that begins with a garter tab cast on and continues with a garter border, decorative eyelets, and centre spine. Knit this shawl using any weight yarn for a perfectly versatile wardrobe accessory. Suitable pattern for beginner knitters. Excellent stash buster.

Yarn requirements are very flexible.
4ply/Fingering weight: 440m/110g
8-10ply/DK-Worsted weight: 440-500m/ 160-200g
12-14ply/Bulky weight: 400m/ 400g

Notes about gauge: achieving gauge for a shawl is not critical however if your gauge does not match the above numbers your shawl may end up being a different size to the sample and use more or less yarn than specified above

Needles and notions
Suggested needle sizes only. You should use a needle size that allows you to obtain suggested gauge or your preferred fabric.
If using 12-14ply/Bulky weight: 6.5mm 80-100cm circular needle
