This pattern was designed to be a simple knit that can easily be customised with what you feel like knitting as you go! Gauge is not as important with this knit, so long as you are creating a fabric that you feel has a beautiful drape.

I created this shawl for my Mum — I wanted something that could be made to feel like a warm hug when you aren’t close by to someone you care about, and adding the snuggly soft Alpaca in places adds a caring touch. Each stitch is made with thoughtfulness and they can be reminded of you each time you wear it.

Yarn:
Main Colour: 1 x 4ply Yeah Yeah Yarn ‘Bliss’ Superwash 100% Merino in Inferno, 100g hank (approx 357m). Colour 2: 15g (approx 90m) Fyberspates Cumulus baby suri alpaca/silk blend in Pearl. Colour 3: 10g (approx 60m) Fyberspates Cumulus baby suri alpaca/silk blend in Water

Yarn is held double in places but not for the entire shawl.

Needle Size:
3.5mm on an 80cm cable
