The Neah Bay beanie is a lovely quilted pattern with a lot of texture and an easy repeat of 3 stitches across 3 rows. It can be worked fitted or more slouchy, looks amazing with a pompom or without. It uses worsted weight yarn, under 180 yards, it especially shines with hand dyed yarn. All the hats in the photos are made with yarn I hand dyed.

Included in the pattern is a link to a video tutorial for my recommended way to construct a crochet hat brim. I highly recommend using this technique as it give the perfect foundation for any crochet hat but in particular this one.

This is NOT a pattern for beginners, it is absolutely an intermediate level pattern for an experienced crocheter. The stitch count and placement requires precise placements and attention to detail in the first round and can be tricky. After that it is an easy flowing pattern that builds quickly and is quite addictive to make.
