UPDATE:
This pattern now includes a PDF download for the Neapolitan Cowl 2.0. Just like the original, it features the same textural pattern but since it only uses one color, it’s larger and fully reversible. Perfect for wrapping around your neck or leaving draped like a scarf.

The Neapolitan Cowl is a circular cowl that features an elongated zig-zag texture. It sits bunched up around the neck for warmth and fashion. Comprised almost fully of knit and purl stitches, this pattern is perfect for beginners and is a great introduction to using different colors in one pattern. I chose the classic Neapolitan colors for the sample but you can use any variety you wish. Different shades of the same color would produce a fun gradient effect! It only uses a total of 250 yds/230m (and about 80yds/75m per color) of a DK or light worsted yarn, so it makes a great stash-busting project as well.
