Neito Scarf
Neito (= Maiden in Finnish) scarf is a real one skein wonder.
It is knitted with double yarn from the tip of the triangle upwards, and thus it can be knitted as big as the yarn will last.
The texture is semi-lace and it’s quick to knit because of the rather big needle size (5mm / 8 US)
The pattern includes chart and detailed written instructions.
Size:
One size starting ca. 45 cm x 105 cm / 18” x 41”
The size will alter regarding used yarn thickness.
It’s possible to create bigger shawl using this same pattern. I.e by using 200g it’s possible to create wrap sizing 80cm x 160 cm
Needles:
Circular needles 5 mm (US 8) 60 cm / 24”
or 80 cm / 32”
Bamboo/wooden needles are recommended
Gauge:
14 sts, 25 rows stockinette stitch with double yarns = 10 x 10 cm / 4” x 4” with 5 mm needles after blocking
Yarn:
50g fingering/sport weight yarn
50g fingering/sport weight yarn
100 g = 400 m / 437 yds
