The Neroli shawl is the perfect project to knit with just 400 meters of yarn—that is, a single skein, or more if you prefer.

The finished dimensions for the small version, after blocking, are approximately 134 cm x 92 cm x 92 cm.

The small size sample shown in the photos was knit holding together lace and a fingering weight yarns : one skein of Wooliette Felicia fingering (100% extra fine merino, 100 g – 400 m), and one skein of Wooliette Doucette mohair & silk (50 g – 420 m).

The larger size sample shown in the photos was knit using 2 skeins of Wooliette Portofino fingering (100 g – 400 m), and 2 skeins of Wooliette Doucette mohair & silk (50 g – 420 m).

For this lace and fingering combination - 5 mm needles is recommended.

Gauge is not critical for this project.

Choose a soft and supple yarn for a comfortable wear—you’ll want to wrap this shawl right against your skin.

Tip: You can use one skein or several if you’d like a larger version.

The lace border is optional—you can absolutely knit the entire shawl in garter stitch if you prefer.
