This is an easy to intermediate crochet pattern for a children’s poncho.

It has an opening at the neck and one button to make it easier to wear and to make the size more versatile.

The size in the pattern is for age 4 to 8, but can easily be made shorter or longer to suit different sizes.

I used 2 strands of thin yarn together to give the equivalent of DK, but nay DK yarn can be used. I also used self-striping yarn to give a multicoloured effect, but solid colours could also be used.
