Christmas is a wonderful time of year in the Almon household; every Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas decorations, have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and watch the 1954 Irving Berlin classic, White Christmas. We’ve watched the movie so many times that renditions of its show-stopping numbers can be heard in the house year-round. This year, we thought we’d show our love for this movie by releasing a four-pattern White Christmas inspired collection.

This shawl is inspired by the gorgeous fans from Betty and Judy’s Sisters number (and Phil and Bob use them too in their spoof of the number). This circular shawl utilizes beads to create the shape of the fans and then finishes with a ruffled edge that reminds me of the feathers that make up the fan.

Grab your yarn, your beads, and your needles. There were never such devoted sisters! Happy Knitting!

This shawl pattern is written for magic loop until you have enough stitches to knit completely in the round.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in the creation of White Christmas, and for inspiring people for over sixty years. ❤

The Emily Ocker Cast-On and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off are used in this pattern.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, M1L, slipping sts, and beading. In addition, a video tutorial for the Emily Ocker Cast-On has been recorded by the designer.

This pattern includes instructions in written form.

Thank you so much to my amazing test knitters: Cristy (cristyray) & Tracy (tmangil)! ❤

Pattern was tech edited by the phenomenal Rachel (porpoise)! ❤
