I wanted to create a bonnet that had a little more depth and contrast. I love having a main color and contrast color as it adds interest to the bonnet. I choose a simple repeating lace stitch and paired it with classic stockinette to create the ‘Nevin Bonnet.’ This bonnet is intended to be used as a photography prop and had instructions that will yield a bonnet to fit a newborn (up to 3 weeks).

All parts of this bonnet are explained fully and I’ve provided video links in the pattern as well. Even if you are intimidated to make this bonnet my step by step instructions should help you through it. As always you can message me and I will do my best to be of great help.

Instructions are given for both working flat and in the round.
