New Ripple Tide Shawl
Inspired by the waves of the sea, and how the surface of the water moves and dances in the light.
This pattern is a revisit of ripple tide.
The first pattern used 4 x 25 g skeins of yarn for the coloured stripes.
The new pattern has been reconfigured to used 5 x 20 g mini skeins along with 100 g of a main colour.
The sample used Delicious 4ply yarn, 70% bfl, 20% silk, 10% cashmere. Available in my Etsy Shop
Most 4 ply yarn would work if it comes with around 80 meters per 20 g / 400 m per 100 g.
NOT short rows! Most of the pattern is worked in full row stripes.
There is a small use of short rows, but if you don’t want to do them, that is fine.
The main colour is worked in garter stitch throughout, then there are 2-row stripes that swap between the five contrast colours. These colours could also be substituted by a variegated yarn.
