They are knitted in flat. No need to use double pointed needles.
You need only one skein to finish the pair. If you are using 100g of yarn, you can make 2 pairs. Longer 50g of yarn - you can make cuffs longer.

Very easy to make bigger or smaller gloves using different size of the yarn.

Bigger (Men’s size) - Malabrigo Twist, Tosh chunky with US#7 needles.
Smaller (Big kids) - Tosh Merino, Tosh merino DK with US#5 needles.
