Newport Spring Hat was inspired by the blossoms of thousands of spring bulbs planted in Newport, RI streets to herald the arrival of spring and the tourists’ visits. This year 2020 because of the Covid-19, the tourists will miss the flowers. The hat is a reminder of spring in winter.

The hat uses two skeins, one light and one dark colored, of DK yarn for a mosaic shadow pattern. The pattern is easy and uses only one color every 2 two rows. You slip the stitch of the color that you are not using in the row. The hat sizing will fit a toddler, child, teen and adult woman and man.
