The Nina Top is a fitted top with a keyhole cutout, and is worked top-down in double crochet. It is meant to have a negative ease of 7-11cm for smaller sizes, and gradually less negative ease for larger sizes.

The top part of the top (from shoulders until underarm) is graded, which means that you will have to pick a size based on your bust measurement.
From the underarm and until the bottom of the top, the pattern is made to measure (you will create bust shaping and waist shaping based on your own measurements).

There are 8 sizes available for the top part (bust circumference): 1 (72-76 cm); 2 (77-81 cm); 3 (82-86 cm); 4 (87-91 cm); 5 (92-96 cm); 6 (97-102 cm); 7 (103-108 cm); 8 (109-114 cm). Then the rest of the top is made to measure (based on your own measurements)

Materials:

  • Hook: 3 mm hook, or any that fits gauge (for main body) + 2.5 mm hook (for borders)
  • Extras: Measuring tape; Stitch markers;Yarn needle ; Scissors
  • Buttons: Approx 10 buttons of 1.5cm diameter.
  • Yarn type: Any 8/4 cotton (super fine/fingering) or any yarn that meets gauge. I recommend 8/4 cotton from Sostrene Grene or 8/4 cotton from Hobbii.
  • Yarn amount: Approx. 160g, 180g, 200g, 220g, 240g, 260g, 280g, 300g of 8/4 cotton.

Gauge: 10cm x 10cm = 24 dc x 12 rows.

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginner/intermediate crocheters. You just need to know how to work a double crochet stitch, single crochet stitch, increase, decrease, chain. There is no sewing (except for buttons) as the different parts are worked together.

The pattern is written in ENGLISH and in US crochet terminology.
