I started this project when I got a new phone and none of the phone socks I have accumulated over the years fit as the phone is tall and narrow.

It is double knitted from the bottom up, so no sewing is required (apart from to attach the button).

It can be made in any size necessary, just make sure to count the stitches in pairs if needed as one colour will be the back and the other will be the front. Also remember to account for the side width of the items, not just the front/back width. (Meaning if your phone/item is thick at the side, make the pouch wider than needed for the front of the phone so the pouch will stretch around the sides, too.)

➖⭐You will need:⭐➖

⭐Any yarn you like in any size/weight you like (so long as it can take repetitive use) in 2 colours - as it’s a pain to double knit with the same colour!!

⭐Knitting needles to match the yarn size/weight being used

⭐A button you like that is smaller than the width of the front of the phone.

⭐Thread, either to match the button or to contrast, of your choosing to attach the button.

⭐A needle that can easily pass through the hole/s on the button

You will not need more than one full ball/skein of yarn per colour, unless you’re making the pouch particularly big, but use your best judgement from your own experience and your chosen gauge.
