This is a written crochet pattern for the “Noodle the Alien”- a low sew amigurumi alien with long (noodle-y!) arms. Wire can also optionally be used to make the arms bendable/poseable.

The pattern is available in both US and UK terms. The PDF file is 9 pages long with detailed instructions and lots of photos. In addition to Ravelry, this pattern is also available on my Etsy store to purchase.

This pattern is suitable for crocheters that are already familiar with amigurumi and basic crochet stitches/techniques (e.g ch, sc, inc, dec, working in the round, sewing pieces together etc). All pieces are worked in continuous rounds. This project is considered low sew, the only pieces that need to be sewn together are the antenna to the head, and the head to the body.

Materials & Tools Required:
• Yarn in a colour of your choice and yarn weight of your choice.
• A crochet hook that matches your yarn weight.
• A small amount of black yarn/thread for embroidering mouth.
• Scissors
• Tapestry/finishing needle
• Toy stuffing
• Two black safety eyes
• Stitch marker (recommended)
• Pins to help with assembly/sewing (optional)
• Metal wire (optional- use if you want the arms to be bendable)
• Pliers (only needed if you are using metal wire)

Using a 3mm hook and DK weight yarn my finished alien (including antenna) measured 12.5cm tall.
