Nora bikini
When I saw a crocheted bikini for the first time I knew I wanted to design ones myself. The bikinis are made with drops yarn Muskat and I used the color heather (uni colour 39) for my bikinis, but I highly recommend you to explore other colors too, because they’re all beautiful. You will need 2 skeins of yarn for the original size, but when you decide to make your bikinis bigger you will need 3 skeins of yarn.
This pattern uses chain stitch, single crochet stitch, slip stitch and a picot stitch.
The picot stitch is described in this pattern under special techniques and a tutorial is available on my homepage maarikalt.wordpress.com. The pattern also includes a step-by-step picture tutorial for this stitch.
The straps are crossed at the back and they function as adjustable straps. Only one size is described in this tutorial, but the straps that cross at the back make these bikinis adjustable for a wide range of sizes, the minimal chest circumference is 60 cm.
Even if the straps make the bikini top adjustable every body is still different and therefore the tutorial of adjusting cup size and bottom edge circumference is described below the original size so you can make the cups and/or edge as big or small as you need for your own size.
