I started this project on June 6th 2014, 70 years after D-Day in Normandy, France.
My dad being an historian, he would tell us lots of stories about the World Wars. When I was young, I was always trying to picture the life of the children during these events.
Nowadays, I wonder what would have I knitted if I had a little boy at that time. This is what I pictured him wearing, in 1944, looking at the sky and counting the planes.

Normandie: Knitted with worsted yarn, this unisex pullover is a timeless sweater.
The V-neck collar (no short rows) is a nice and easy addition.
It’s worked top-down (raglan sleeves) and the collar is added at the end.

Pattern is written for 1 colour but can easily be customized. Ideas are provided in the instructions.
Pattern is written with twisted ribs (best look for 1 colour), but can be knitted in P1/K1 ribs or P2/K1 ribs (ideas provided in the instructions).
