I designed this cowl simply to satisfy my own curiosity about alternating short row wedges. I don’t know why I love short rows so much, but I do; they’re satisfying and fun to knit. A note of caution: while you’re knitting North Loop you’ll wonder how on earth the lumpy pile of knitting in your lap will result in the flat, smooth cowl you see pictured. Blocking is magic: don’t be afraid to pin this out to the dimensions called for. That said, the undulating short wedges result in a cowl that will likely have a slightly scalloped finish, no matter how firmly you block it.
