This pattern is free for the 2016/2017 fall/winter season!

This hat was inspired by the “Great North Woods” region of the U.S and Canada. This pine-tree-adorned hat would feel great on your head while exploring outside, or just commuting to work!

The hat shown in the picture is a 20-inch hat worn on a 21 inch head.

I used Knitpicks Stroll Tweed Yarn in the following colors:

MC: Oyster Heather- 81(92,103,115,126) yards

CC: Reindeer Heather - 32(37,41,46,51) yards

All sizes take less than 1 skein of each color!

The knitting skills suggested for this pattern are:
- knitting and purling
-working in the round
- basic stranded color-work

- “tacking your floats,” or trapping segments of unused color on the wrong side of the work for neater stitch-work on the front (and no messy loops inside!)
