Northern Lights Poncho

This poncho was inspired by the beautiful yarn from Yarn House Creations which tops out this piece. I was moved to tell a story through the colors I used. The bottom starts out with the cool glow of the snow on the ground, then it transitions into the night sky with stars, and finally it is topped off with the sky full of the northern lights. This poncho is quick and fun to knit and adds a great extra layer of cozy warmth. It is knit in the round from the bottom up. The color change is simple colorwork. No worries, if you don’t like colorwork or are intimidated by it, this is a great piece to try it out.
