I’m very pleased to collaborate with Prairie Spirit Alpaca to design the Northern Spirit mittens. Taking inspiration from the amazing colours of the aurora borealis and the iconic polar bear, we created the colour palette and design for this hat. Although the Alpaca wool is listed as a sport weight yarn, the fibers bloom together to create a beautiful lightweight but warm fabric. If choosing a different yarn I suggest a light DK weight or sport weight yarn with similar blooming properties.
