The Norwegian Star Cowl is started with provisional cast-on and knitted in the round in a cylinder before grafting the end and cast-on stitches together.
It is a great project to get started with colourwork as only 2 colours are used throughout the project. Once you get into the repetitive motif, the knitting becomes more meditative and mindless. And before you know it, this cosy warm cowl is finished!

Gauges are slightly different for the different sizes. Needle sizes are only indicative. Use the needle size that allows you to get the gauge you need for the size you intend to make. Gauge is based on colourwork pattern.
* 3.5mm needles: 21 sts for 10 cm / 4 in, 27 rows for 10 cm / 4 in
→ Gauge to use for baby and small adult sizes.
* 3.75mm needles: 20 sts for 10 cm / 4 in, 25 rows for 10cm / 4 in
→ Gauge to use for large adult size.
* 4.0mm needles: 19 sts for 10 cm / 4in, 22 rows for 10cm / 4in
→ Gauge to use for child size.

You will need 50g of 2 contrasting colours of DK yarn.

Le Snood / Tour de Cou Etoiles Norvégiennes se commence avec un montage de mailles provisoire puis se tricote en rond dans un cylindre avant d’assembler les mailles du dernier rang avec celles du premier.

C’est un super projet pour les débutants en tricot jacquard puisque ce projet n’utilise que 2 couleurs a la fois. Une fois qu’on s’habitue aux répétitions du motif, le tricot devient plus méditatif. Et avant de s’en rendre compte, ce snood tres douillet est fini!

Il faudra 50g de 2 couleurs contrastantes de fil DK.

L’échantillon est un peu différent en fonction de la taille souhaitée. Les tailles d’aiguilles mentionées ne sont qu’une indication. Choisissez les aiguilles qui vous permettent d’obtenir le nombre de maillles nécessaires pour la taille choisie. L’échantillon est basé sur la grille de jacquard.
